Then the WHO demanded that CBD-based drugs be removed from the banned list, and the WADA anti-doping agency followed their recommendations. In 2018, the US officially approved the issuance of drugs based on cannabidiol without a prescription, and now there are many such drugs. In other countries, the situation is ambiguous: somewhere such drugs are prohibited, somewhere not, but people are suspicious of them. Therefore, the main audience for CBD offers is US residents. It is there that they predict the rapid development of the market for such products: 

The cannabis drug trend has continued in the US for several years now. Since the Americans were already convinced of the benefits of the substance, they began to produce other products based on it: for example, snacks for dogs and bath bombs, gummy bears and even cosmetics.

All products that contain CBD can be attributed to the corresponding vertical. 

Where to look for CBD offers

Products based on CBD extract are only gaining popularity all over the world, so there are few such offers so far. In some affiliate programs, you can find 1-2 offers from advertisers, in some of them there are none at all.

In which countries you can run ads

Definitely in those where the CBD substance is not on the banned list. These are the USA, Canada and most of Europe, and more recently some Asian countries. There are two reasons for this: 

• CBD is banned. Therefore, many advertisers only work in specific countries and do not ship to countries where CBD is prohibited by applicable law. Therefore, in fact, there are not as many offers as in other verticals.
• People don't trust CBD.Even if you find an offer that allows you to work with residents of different countries, you will have to look for a valid approach for a long time. It's all about the mentality - the inhabitants of many countries subconsciously do not trust hemp and its extracts, because they have heard about its dangers. That is, you can endlessly pour traffic to the landing, but get a meager conversion. 

What sources to choose to send to CBD offers

Due to the ambiguous position of the CBD substance in the international market, advertising networks are building their own policies regarding it. So, in Adwords it is already possible to pass moderation even without cloaking, in Facebook - only disguising the product as another product (there should be no mention of marijuana and CBD on the landing page and in the ad). Let's figure out where to drive traffic from the most profitable: 

→ From contextual advertising in Google Adwords. This is the obvious solution. With context, you will attract the “hottest” audience — those who have already heard about the benefits of the product and are looking for a store where they can buy it. You don't have to make pre-landers, you can set up ads with direct links to the advertiser's website. 

→ С Reddit. On the platform, you can also publish posts for free and leave active links in them, thus attracting traffic. To attract traffic from Reddit, you need to "pump" your account - first let it rest for 7-10 days, then slowly gain karma, and only then publish posts with native advertising. Direct advertising "on the forehead" will not go - in order for your publication to be popular and bring leads, you need to do something that attracts attention and natively weave a mention of the product and a link to the site into the text. 

There are several ways to speed up your Reddit traffic:
 

• buy ready-made accounts with a normal reputation and use them for periodic posting; 
• boost votes to make your post rise higher in certain categories; 
• publish posts in unpopular categories, but collect leads due to less competition; 
• promote a post for a fee, but you will need a bank card issued in the United States for this.

→ From bulletin boards. Also a working method if you know languages common in tier-1 countries. The way to drain traffic is simple - publish ads with direct links and get a profit. Or, if it is impossible to publish active links, just send the link to each interested person in private messages. 

You can place ads in this way on large boards - for example, on Craiglist, which is popular all over the USA, and on small local ones. And to earn as much as possible, connect automation. 

→ From push notifications. It is a cheap and effective source of traffic. It is used all over the world, including in the USA and European countries 

To drive traffic from push notifications, you need to come up with colorful creatives: such that users pay attention to them. There are practically no prohibitions in such networks, so already in creatives you can say that the product contains CBD. And to search for ideas or ready-made bundles, use spy services. Also pay attention to settings and optimization. Advertisers provide data about the target audience - use it to set the optimal settings. Also, constantly monitor campaigns and disable creatives and sites that do not work or do not work as efficiently as they should. 

→ С Facebook. Officially, advertising of CBD offers is prohibited there. But FB has a huge target audience - the social network is used all over the world, including in the USA and European countries. Therefore, to lose sight of such a source of traffic is stupid.     .

→ From doorways. Doorways are sites that are optimized for specific requests and redirect the user to another site: automatically or naturally. 

Doorways continue to work: collect the hottest requests, make a website and set up a redirect. You can also make regular web resources to get search traffic: for example, an information portal about CBD with advertisements for several offers. But regular sites will have to spend more time and money. Doorway to do faster, but they do not live long. 

You can send traffic to CBD offers from other sources: for example, run the same ad on message boards, try setting up teaser and banner ads, send emails to a ready-made or purchased database, and so on. Test different approaches to find the most efficient and profitable. 

When you send traffic to CBD, take into account the peculiarities of the method of attracting buyers: somewhere you will need a pre-landing, somewhere you can talk about the product right away, somewhere else an interactive format will work well.
