Who it is for

  • 1. webmasters
  • 2. affiliates

Many believe that webcam offers are already saturated, and all the major clients have been taken. However, the author of this case has demonstrated that there is still significant untapped potential in the webcam niche, and in the long term, this niche can be quite profitable for affiliates.

In this case, a media buyer from TrafficStars reveals his strategy for running advertising campaigns on the Stripcash webcam offer. Careful campaign setup, auto-optimization parameters, and the search for effective sources have resulted in a 19% ROI. Through video pre-rolls and banners, the author of this case earned $15 996 in just six months.

Offer and strategy

  • Traffic: TrafficStars
  • Affiliate program: Stripcash
  • Offer: Stripchat
  • Payment model: 20% of the profit
  • Advertising format: Video pre-roll

Video Pre-Roll is the most profitable advertising format for StripChat. In addition to users guaranteed to see your ad, they also encounter the most relevant content - attractive women. Plus, the competition on Tier-1 is relatively lower compared to other advertising formats.

On the Stripcash platform, there are ready-made videos, banners, and widgets specifically created with consideration for language nuances. This means you won't have to spend a lot of time creating high-quality materials – everything is already prepared!

Now, let's move on to my advertising strategy. After a thorough analysis, I decided to test Tier-1 Geos, as well as countries in Southeast Asia, known as the “Asian tigers”: South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Macao. It's no surprise that Tier-1 countries are the most profitable. My account manager at StripCash strongly recommended testing the “Asian Tigers”, as traffic from these countries is currently at its peak activity.

Regarding the payment model, it's a RevShare, which means you receive 20% of user spending for their entire lifetime. Even if you decide to pause your traffic or take a break from work, the percentage will still accrue to your account. In other words, you'll receive a constant passive income.

To understand how to set up the Optimizer, you need to calculate the CPL, CPA, and LTV of users. Below you'll learn how I calculated these metrics.

Campaign settings in TrafficStars

The campaign setup interface in TrafficStars is incredibly user-friendly. All the essential tools and settings are highly intuitive. For example, there's a convenient option for country presets, which is exactly what I need.

You click on Tier1, and voila! All the necessary countries are added.

I create separate advertising campaigns for desktop, mobile, and tablets.

Another useful feature is excluding proxy traffic.

And now, pay close attention to a very important setting—I create a campaign targeting RON and add xHamster and PornHub to the blacklist. Why do I do this? It's because of the high competition. Rates on xHamster and PornHub are significantly higher compared to other publishers. For them, I will create separate campaigns. By excluding these highly competitive sources, you'll gather valuable data for optimizing campaigns and achieving maximum profit.

Another crucial option is the selection of direct inventory to obtain exclusively high-quality traffic.

The next step is choosing the pricing model. We select Dynamic CPM and the Recommended bid.

In the final step, select VAST and download your referral link from Stripcash.

I set the capping to 2. This means that each user will see your ad no more than twice per day.

💡 To track conversions, you need to configure the Postback URL.

Optimizer

The next step in campaign setup is the Optimizer.

Since I earn revenue through RevShare, it's important to calculate the approximate cost of acquiring a user who will make their first deposit.

After analyzing the webcam affiliate market and the payouts for initial sales, I concluded that my effective cost per acquisition (eCPA) would be $150. This is the maximum amount, meaning that the lower the eCPA, the better. The customer's LTV should be higher than the eCPA.

Let's assume that every 10th registered user makes a purchase, so the target eCPL will be $15. However, these numbers can vary depending on traffic sources and user behavior. To account for these variables, the cost per lead (CPL) should fall within the range of $10 to $30.

To optimize the campaign while considering these goals, I set up a postback for user registrations and first sales, with each having a value of $150. In this case, both registration and the first sale are considered leads.

Leads = registrations + first purchases

Based on this, I configured 3 optimizers:

#1 The first one is for blocking ineffective ad videos.

#2 The second one is for adjusting the bid to keep it within the target range.

#3 The last one is for blocking sources with too low CTR.

Afterward, I independently collected real eCPA and eCPL statistics in Google Sheets.

Results of RON-traffic

Approximately 3 months later, I obtained the following results for two campaigns:

TIer 1 | Video RON Desktop:

  • Desktop targeting
  • Spent: $6173
  • Profit: $899
  • ROI: 15%
  • eCPA: $126

Tier 1 | Video RON Mobile + Tablet:

  • Targeting for mobile devices and tablets
  • Spent: $37294
  • Profit: — $9208
  • ROI: -25%
  • eCPA: $237

The first campaign, targeting desktop devices, showed excellent results. I kept it active even after cleaning up spots without conversions. Over time, it’ll bring in even more profit.

Based on the data from the second campaign, I identified the ad videos that generated the most profit, as well as two countries: Germany and France. I created 2 campaigns with a whitelist for these countries. In the end, the following results were achieved:

Germany | Video Whitelist Mobile:

  • DE + Mobile device + German language + Whitelist
  • Spent: $4214
  • Profit: $1310
  • ROI: 31%
  • eCPA: $114

France | Video Whitelist Mobile:

  • FR + Mobile device + French language + Whitelist
  • Spent: $3339
  • Profit: $7209
  • ROI: 216%
  • eCPA: $57

Testing xHamster and its results

The results exceeded my expectations, and after some time, I launched two more video campaigns targeting xHamster. My account manager advised me on what bid to set. The traffic volume fluctuated due to high competition. Nonetheless, the campaign turned profitable!

Germany | Video xH Mobile:

  • Targeting: DE + Mobile device + German language + Whitelist
  • Spent: $15302
  • Profit: $4548.91
  • ROI: 30%
  • eCPA: $425

France | Video xH Mobile:

  • Targeting: FR + Mobile device + French language + Whitelist
  • Spent: $12800
  • Profit: $3712
  • ROI: 29%
  • eCPA: $346

xHamster provides a lot of high-quality traffic, but it comes with corresponding competition. Both of my campaigns turned profitable.

The “Asian tigers” campaign

As I mentioned earlier, the manager from Stripcash strongly recommended the Asian GEOs to me. These are countries with developed economies and have the potential to be very profitable. At the same time, competition in these markets is not high.

Ad formats and ad creatives

My account manager at TrafficStars recommended using mobile banners 300x100 and also shared a whitelist with me. In this case, video ads would have been significantly more expensive than banners. As for the ad creatives, I used an iFrame widget that I created in StripCash. This is a very convenient feature that displays different models in Stripchat. All you need to do is set the preferences and copy the link – as easy as pie! It streamlined the entire process and saved me time.

Campaign settings

I created a banner advertising campaign targeting RON-traffic and Direct Inventory. Since the minimum bids were roughly the same, I didn't create separate campaigns for xHamster and PornHub. Additionally, I selected only mobile devices and non-proxy traffic.

Results

Just look at these results – 96% ROI! Without a doubt, the manager's advice proved valuable, and I struck gold 😎

Asian tigers | Banner 300×100 Whitelist

  • Spent: $3269
  • Profit: $3154
  • ROI: 96%
  • eCPA: $74

Taiwan brought in approximately 80% of the profit, followed by Hong Kong and Singapore.

Overall results:

  • Period: 01.01.23 — 30.06.23
  • Spent: $82391
  • Net profit: $15996
  • ROI: 19%

While the overall results may not be extremely impressive, this is a long-term game with the potential for significant return on investment. According to my calculations, in 6 months, the cumulative ROI will exceed 100%. Even if I were to stop all campaigns now, I’d continue to receive my share from paying customers.
